Mecgrowths Texmach – Success through continuous engineering and customer engagement

One of the new products that the company will have on display is the compact system for European ring frames

Senthil Raja, Director

Ariser Engineering, also known as MecGrowths Texmach Private Limited, is a name that has been creating a splash in the market in recent times with its MG 1010 spring-loaded top arm for ring spinning. The company is all set and raring to go at the forthcoming Texfair 2022 event, to be held in Coimbatore, where it will be displaying its world-class range of products. We caught up with Arunachalam and Senthil Raja, the company’s directors for an exclusive chat. Sounding happy at the company’s performance in FY 2021-22, Arunachalam said: “The year was okay in the first quarter despite the pandemic-triggered lockdowns. Things started picking up very well till January. There was a slight slowdown in the last quarter as spinning mills were not doing well due to the abnormal increase in cotton prices. We managed the situation well and are happy with our performance.”

Speaking about recent new launches from the company, Senthil Raja stated: “We have launched a completely ‘Make in India’, new heavy-duty spring-loaded top arm. We are already in discussion with several mills and expect big orders. We launched our compact system for leading European ring frames. We are satisfied with the results. We have received repeat orders for the same. We have also successfully completed the trials of our compact machines on KTTM machines. They have achieved better results than those of the competitors.”

Arunachalam is confident of leveraging the emerging opportunities in the textile industry due to the consistent push by the government with its initiatives such as the PLI scheme and mega textile parks. “We see this as a great opportunity to boost the textile industry in our country. Lot of orders from countries such as Sri Lanka and Pakistan are getting diverted to India due to the political instability in those countries. Since the banning of Chinese cotton, the cotton prices have been increasing steadily. India is the only source of cotton for big brands. We see integrated textile parks as most essential to boost capacity and for global competitiveness. We are planning to add spinning and weaving capacity in the near future,” he shared.

Exploring New Opportunities

The company’s top management is also excited about the emerging opportunities in the manmade fibres segment. “Yes, research is going on in this field. We expect to launch a niche product in the near future. You will soon hear an announcement regarding this,” Senthil Raja said. Pointing out the key reasons which give the company and its products a competitive edge, Arunachalam said: “We always focus on customer satisfaction and fine-tune our products accordingly. We take pride in announcing that Ariser’s achievements were recognised by the central ministry recently, which further adds strengths to our operations. To make sure that perfect products come out of our factory, we have upgraded our tools, measuring instruments and automation to reduce human intervention and improve accuracy levels.”

Throwing light on the company’s presence in global markets, Senthil Raja observed: “Since our product is doing very well in the domestic market, we are still trying to fulfil the needs here. We have been a bit slow in export markets like Bangladesh and Indonesia. We are waiting for a positive response for yarn demand in the global market.” Listing down his expectations from the Indian textile industry in the near future, Arunachalam remarked: “The Indian textile industry should focus more on vertical integration and try to export more finished products. We request the government to propose new policies for the same so as to reduce cotton and yarn export and to get even the profitability of organisations to adhere to more foreign currencies.”

Finally, sharing his vision for the company’s growth strategies by 2025, he said: “We are planning to establish a new firm where we will be focusing on a fibre-to-fashion setup. We hope, if all goes well, we will be an Rs 100 crore turnover company by 2025.” Senthil Raja said he looks forward to welcoming visitors to the company’s stalls A31 and A32. “We look forward to meeting customers from around the world at the event. We will be showcasing our wide range of products at Texfair 2022,” he said.
