Nitin Spinners’ expansion project well on track

Nitin Spinners Ltd. (NSL) has announced its investment of Rs. 675 crores in a greenfield integrated textile complex with cotton/blended spinning facilities. This complex will have facilities for weaving, dyeing, finishing and printing of woven and knitted fabrics.

Nitin Spinners, located in Bhilwara, Rajasthan, one of the leading players in the textile industry, manufactures 100% cotton yarn and knitted fabrics by using the latest ultra-modern technology. The manufacturing unit is situated in Hamirgarh, Bhilwara. As a part of strategic initiatives, the company plans to foray into the finished fabric segment to meet the rising demand in the apparel industry.

NSL has acquired 50 acres of land approximately 70 km away from the existing manufacturing unit. Civil construction work has already started at the new site.

Nitin Spinners currently has an installed capacity of 2,23,056 spindles and 2,936 rotors, producing 50,000 tons of yarn per annum. To move up the value chain, the company has also established its knit fabric division with 63 knitting machines, with an installed production capacity of 9,000 tons of fabric per annum. NSL exports around 64% of its production to over 50 countries globally.

The products are widely used in manufacturing apparel and garments, inner wear, terry towels, woven fabrics, home furnishings, carpets, denim, industrial textiles, medical textiles, mattress ticking and socks, among others.

Despite a challenging period for the textile industry, NSL achieved the highest-ever revenue of Rs. 1,145.25 crores in FY18, growing by 22.70% over the previous year.

Nitin Spinners has invested in the best global technology across its manufacturing process. The key technology providers include Toyoda, Rieter and LMW for the spinning equipped with auto doffing; Rieter and Sussen for compact spinning; Rieter and Trützschler for preparatory process; Zinser for roving along with roving transport system; Murata and Savio for autowinders (linked to ring frame); Uster for laboratory equipments; and Mayer & Cie and Terrot for knitting machines for high quality knitted fabric.
