A name that has become synonymous with quality cots and aprons, Precitex has steadily built a strong reputation in the global textile spinning industry through consistent innovation, product reliability, and customer focus. Established in 1971, the company today has a significant presence across key textile markets worldwide and continues to strengthen its position through continuous product development.

At the recently held Texfair 2026 exhibition in Coimbatore, the company once again demonstrated its innovation-driven approach by unveiling a new line of top rollers designed for drawframe and comber machines, marking another milestone in its product journey.

Speaking to the magazine during an exclusive interaction at the company’s booth, Diven Dembla, Director, Precitex, highlighted the company’s global reach and commitment to excellence.

“Our products have been setting benchmarks globally. With our manufacturing facility in Umargaon, Gujarat, supported by regional offices in New Delhi, Bhilwara, Ahmedabad, Indore, Mumbai, Coimbatore and Guntur, and exports to over 40 countries, we are constantly working to improve our products to meet the evolving requirements of discerning customers,” he said.

Innovation driven by strong R&D

Precitex has consistently differentiated itself through a strong focus on research and development. Over the years, the company has introduced several specialised products that cater to diverse spinning requirements, helping mills improve both productivity and yarn quality.

Among its well-known offerings are the Soft Plus cots designed specifically for 100 per cent cotton spinning, XP aprons known for their durability and performance consistency, and specialised texturizing cots developed for technical textile applications. These products have helped the company establish new benchmarks in terms of performance, longevity, and cost efficiency.

New launch at Texfair 2026

The highlight of Precitex’s participation at Texfair 2026 was the soft launch of its new top rollers for preparatory machines such as drawframes and combers. The company plans a formal launch of the product line at ITME 2026, scheduled to be held in Noida later this year.

Elaborating on the new introduction, Diven said: “We have introduced a new product line of top rollers for preparatory machines. These are manufactured using high-quality and durable materials and we are confident they will further strengthen our business. ”

He further added that the new top rollers have been designed to deliver superior performance while also offering a viable alternative to imported products.

“Our top rollers for drawframe and combing machines are made from high-grade materials that ensure better yarn quality, longer service life, and optimised operational costs. They are excellent substitutes for imported products and have undergone extensive trials before being introduced to the market,” he explained.

Long association with Texfair

Precitex has been a regular participant at Texfair since its inception and has witnessed the exhibition grow into a major sourcing platform for textile spares and accessories.

Recalling the early days of the exhibition, Diven said: “We have been participating in Texfair from the very beginning. I remember in 1999 when the then SIMA Chairman, Mr. Vijay Venkataswamy, shared the idea of creating a focused exhibition for textile spares and accessories. We immediately supported the concept because it was unique and especially relevant to South India, which accounts for a significant share of India’s spinning capacity.”

He added that the exhibition has today evolved into one of the most important meeting points for the textile industry.

Clear roadmap for future growth

Looking ahead, Precitex has outlined a clear growth strategy that includes both geographical expansion and product portfolio enhancement.

“We are already among the market leaders, but we do not want to rest on our past achievements. We are actively looking at expanding our presence in South and Central America and are also working on adding new products to our portfolio,” Diven revealed.

Currently, the company’s business is split between domestic and export markets in a 60:40 ratio, reflecting its strong international presence.

Positive outlook for the textile sector

Sharing his perspective on the industry outlook, Diven expressed optimism about the growth prospects of the Indian textile sector, particularly in the context of favourable trade agreements and shifting global sourcing patterns.

“The textile industry is entering a growth phase. Free Trade Agreements will create new opportunities and the global demand for textiles is expected to increase. India is increasingly being seen as a preferred sourcing destination,” he observed.

He also emphasised the importance of moving up the textile value chain.

“India must focus more on garmenting and value addition rather than limiting itself to spinning. That is where the real growth opportunities exist. I am confident India will significantly increase its share in the global textile market,” he concluded.
