The Premier Group, established in 1945, has an international reputation for quality and innovation in textiles. The company is a vertically integrated textile group employing over 5,000 people and has an annual turnover of over USD 250 million. The group is headquartered in Coimbatore and has a total installed capacity of 375,000 spindles and 3,000 rotors. Premier Mills is a dominant player in the global textile market today, utilising cutting-edge technology, high-grade raw materials and stringent quality control to deliver only the finest products to its customers.

It is also the largest exporter of fine cotton yarn from India and a government-recognised export house for 100% combed cotton yarn spun from Pima, Giza and Indian cotton. It exports its products to over 50 countries worldwide. The company has won 37 export awards over the last 31 years and this indicates its consistency in being the highest exporter of fine cotton yarn from India over a significant period. One of the companies in its group is India’s only 100% export-oriented spinning mill. The company has continued to increase its focus and commitment in the production of high-quality combed cotton yarns.

“We offer a much larger variety of fine cotton yarns from Ne 30s to Ne 240s in single, two-ply, compact and gassed yarns spun from the finest extra long staple cotton sourced from across the world. We also offer super fine yarn counts from Ne 140/2 up to Ne 240/2 grey and gassed compact yarns made out of Suvin extra long staple cotton. This is a variety of rare and exotic cotton originally derived from Sea Island cotton,” a press release states. Meanwhile, the company has placed strong emphasis on sustainability and environmental awareness.

“The entire energy requirement for our spinning mills is now generated from eco-friendly wind energy. We also have introduced a new product this year – a GOTS-certified 100% organic yarn produced from extra long staple Indian cotton without the use of pesticides and chemicals, and from certified suppliers.  This ELS cotton is spun into yarn at the gentlest of speeds and extra care on machines with the latest European and Japanese technology by using 100% green energy, thus making it a truly sustainable green yarn,” the release states.
