Simta showcases three new products

Simta is a name that needs no introduction to those who are familiar with the Indian spinning sector. The group with its quality range of products, including spindle tapes, overhead travelling cleaners (OHTCs) and clearer rollers with cleaning machine, has been growing from strength to strength. Visitors to India ITME 2016 can take a closer look at the company’s products.

In an exclusive interaction with The Textile Magazine, Mr. S. Senthil Kumar, Managing Director of the company, sounded enthusiastic about the company’s participation in the event when he said: “The trade show is rightly referred to as the ‘Olympics’ of all events. We are adequately prepared for the competition. We have been participating in the event since 1992. We have been meeting various stakeholders drawn from across the textile industry”.

The group showcases its wide range of products, including Simta spindle tapes, Simta Jacobi OHTCs with bobbin transport system and clearer rollers with cleaning machines. “We are showcasing three of our new products at this edition of the event.”

Going into details of Simta’s product portfolio, Mr. Senthil Kumar pointed out: “We are a large integrated entity with sufficiently widened capabilities, in terms of production and services in the sphere of textile machinery accessories, catering to OEMs and other customers. We have a large and exclusive facility for manufacturing spindle tapes. We are capable of high production capacity and supply. This has helped us remain at the top.”

The group’s ‘Simta Jacobi’ OHTCs have made a name for themselves globally with exclusive features built in for longer life and efficiency. The OHTC range features a bobbin transport system with steel railing for added advantage and superior performance.

Similarly, ‘Simta Clearcoats’, another world-class product offering from the group, is the preferred choice of global OEMs as well as other popular textile machinery manufacturers.

Throwing light on the areas of strength of the company, he said its strong commitment to quality, certain exclusive functional features of the products and excellent service back-up by a team of well-trained and dedicated service engineers have rightly contributed to the company’s growth.

When queried on expansion and upgradation plans, Mr. Senthil Kumar said: “For us investments for upgradation remains a continuous process and we have adequately provided for enhanced capabilities.”

Some of the top names that the group companies cater to include the Ramalinga Group and the Rajapalayam Group in the South and Shree Vallabh Pitte, Kikkani Exports and the Aditya Birla Group in the North.

Expressing happiness over the group’s performance in recent years, he observed: “The year 2016 has been much better for us, as we have made our headway through new avenues. As global OEMs are increasingly dependent on Indian manufacturers and outsourcing some of their requirements, we are rightly placed to seize the emerging opportunities and keep expanding our capabilities, both quantitatively and qualitatively.”
