A.T.E.’s sustained dominance in processing & finishing business

Texpa for home textiles and Danti Paolo for fabric finishing are recent additions to its portfolio of principals they represent in Processing and Finishing division. Mr. S. Rajendran, Business Head – Processing and Finishing Division, proudly states the processing division has doubled the turnover in 2015-16 in comparison to 2014-15.

A.T.E., with its strong and efficient service back-up in the machinery sector expects to repeat the same in 2016-17 in turnover terms, with the addition of new principals like Texpa and Danti Paolo in processing and Zimmer in printing, with sales figures moving from two rotary printing machines to 10 a year and more than 10 in the current fiscal.

Presently A.T.E. has its reach in areas like Vapi, Tarapore, Ahmedabad, Delhi, Ludhiana, Tirupur, Erode and now eyeing territories like Karur, Surat, Panipat and Kolkata. Knitting is another segment which is expected to witness significant growth in the coming years, thanks to the Government’s special package and encouragement for the garmenting segment. This growth trend is set to continue for the next three years.

Kolkata is emerging as a key market for knitted fabric, lycra blend fabric and rotary printing for knitting. A.T.E. has already started to supply rotary printers in the current year to key customers in Kolkata.

Commenting on their participation in ITME, Mr. Rajendran says: “A.T.E. is exhibiting its complete product line. For making its presence felt, it has a 600 sq.ft. stall showcasing the range of products from its 24-odd principals who support the ITME exhibition with their technical staff.”

Mr. Rajendran, in his capacity as the process machinery segment head, looks at taking his division’s turnover to Rs. 500 crores by 2020. At present the processing and finishing division contributes 30-35 per cent of the total turnover.
