Stefan Kross joins Saurer Board

For Mr. Stefan Kross, the return to Saurer is more of a home-coming. He has been appointed as the new Delegate of the Board of Directors for the Saurer Group, where he has worked for a considerable part of his professional life.

Mr. Stefan Kross, a long-term textile senior executive, has joined the Saurer Board with effect from April 1, 2015. He has taken up the responsibilities as Delegate of the Board of Directors.

Mr. Kross, who holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering (Dipl.-Ing.) from RWTH Aachen, has a long-standing experience in the textile machinery industry, especially in the business of Saurer. He started to work for Saurer in 1990. Following different management positions, he was appointed member of the Schlafhorst Board and was responsible for Winding Systems. In 2004 he took over as Chief Technology Officer of the Textile Division within the Saurer Group.

Besides synergy projects in technology, procurement and operations, he established Saurer (China) Technology Co. Ltd. and was responsible for the startup of Saurer (Jintan) Textile Machinery Co. Ltd. After his journey with Saurer, he worked for four years as the CEO of Oerlikon Barmag. Since 2012, he was the CEO of Oerlikon Manmade Fiber (Barmag, Neumag). In 2013 he was appointed Member of the Executive Committee of Oerlikon Group.

The Saurer Group and the Saurer Board of Directors are looking forward to working closely together with Mr. Kross, who will be a great asset and support to the Board owing to his in-depth knowledge of the textile industry and Saurer in particular.
