Coimbatore-based VXL Group, comprising VXLRT and VXL Systems, has long been recognised for its innovative product portfolio and strong focus on technological advancement in the textile machinery segment. Staying true to this reputation, VXL Systems introduced two new solutions at Texfair 2026 — VXL Fine Blend and the VXL HydroAir Humidification System — both designed to enhance efficiency and automation in textile mills.

We caught up with N. Damodharan and R. Govindaraju, the group’s Chief Executives, at the group’s booth during Texfair 2026 to understand the significance of these launches and the company’s outlook for the industry.
Reflecting on the group’s performance during FY 2025–2026, Damodharan acknowledged that it had been a challenging period for the textile sector. “The year has been quite tough for the entire textile industry,” he said. “However, by staying focused on innovation and strengthening our customer support systems, we have been able to achieve our targets despite the market uncertainties.”
Govindaraju added that the group had utilised the slowdown productively by strengthening its research and development initiatives. “Instead of slowing down, we used this period to intensify our R&D efforts. The two new products launched at Texfair 2026 are the outcome of this sustained focus on innovation,” he noted.
VXL Fine Blend
Among the key highlights of the launch was the VXL Fine Blend, a fully automatic blending system developed to replace the conventional manual blending processes widely used in spinning mills.

“This is truly a need-of-the-hour solution,” Damodharan explained. “Many mills still depend on manual blending, which can lead to inconsistencies. VXL Fine Blend is a fully automatic machine that ensures precise blending while significantly improving operational efficiency.”
The system offers a high degree of flexibility, allowing mills to configure multiple feeding points based on their requirements. “The machine can be customised with two, three or four chambers depending on the customer’s needs,” he said.
Equipped with advanced software, the machine is designed to simplify operations and improve usability. “The state-of-the-art software makes the entire system extremely user-friendly. Even a non-technical operator can run the machine with ease. At the same time, it enables smooth digital data transfer, allowing mills to monitor operations more effectively,” Govindaraju added. According to him, the product has already received an encouraging response from the market.
VXL HydroAir Humidification System
The second major launch at the exhibition was the VXL HydroAir Humidification System, which expands the company’s offerings in mill environment management solutions.
“As you know, we have been pioneers in waste collection systems for more than 35 years,” Damodharan pointed out. “The HydroAir humidification system is an allied product that has been developed after extensive R&D.”
He highlighted that the system combines performance with energy efficiency. “It features noiseless fans, is highly energy efficient and can also be customised according to the specific requirements of different mills,” he explained.
Strong presence in ring travellers
VXLRT, the group’s division for ring travellers, also attracted significant attention at the exhibition. The company displayed its extensive product range, including Alpha, Ultimate, Ultimate+, Ulti-Fein, Startech, Ace Jet, Astra and the Plus Series.
“In the ring traveller segment, we have introduced several process improvements,” Govindaraju said. “We have made significant changes in the microstructure of the rings, taking their performance to the next level.”
Focus on Service
After-sales support continues to be a major differentiator for the company. Damodharan emphasised that VXL has invested significantly in strengthening its technical capabilities.
“We have a 15-member technical service team that provides prompt and effective support to our customers. In addition, we also have an exclusive product design team that continuously works on developing new solutions and improving existing products,” he said.
Positive outlook
Sharing his thoughts on the exhibition and the broader industry outlook, Govindaraju expressed optimism. “Texfair has always been an important platform for us, and this edition has come at the right time,” he said. “With the signing of FTAs and the rollback of US tariffs, we are hopeful that the geopolitical situation will ease. We expect 2026–2027 to be a much better year for the textile industry.”
