Tiruppur-based SNQS Internationals, one of the prominent names in India’s apparel sourcing and manufacturing landscape, is gearing up for a strong presence at Bharat Tex 2026, the prestigious textile trade fair scheduled to be held in New Delhi. Part of the SNQS Group — which also includes SNQS Internationals Socks, among India’s leading socks manufacturers — the company continues to strengthen its position in global apparel sourcing through innovation, diversification and strategic international expansion.

With a state-of-the-art apparel manufacturing facility equipped with 500 machines, SNQS Internationals has steadily built a reputation for quality, reliability and customer-focused solutions across global markets.

Speaking about the upcoming event, V. Elangovan, Managing Director of SNQS Internationals and Vice President of the Tiruppur Exporters’ Association (TEA), expressed confidence that Bharat Tex 2026 would serve as an ideal platform for meaningful industry engagement.

“Bharat Tex 2026 is a fantastic opportunity to connect with key stakeholders from the textile sector,” he said.

Navigating Global Market Challenges

Reflecting on the company’s performance during FY 2025–26, Elangovan described the year as challenging, shaped largely by global economic and geopolitical uncertainties.

“It was a bit of a roller-coaster, to be very frank. The US tariffs disturbed the US part of our business. At the same time, the West Asia crisis affected consumer confidence in Europe, where inflation and declining disposable incomes impacted buying behavior,” he explained.

According to him, even major value-chain and fast-fashion retailers across Europe have been facing pressure from the rapid growth of Chinese online retail platforms.

“Offline retailers are finding it difficult to compete with aggressive online players from China. The market environment has certainly become more competitive,” he noted.

Despite these headwinds, SNQS Internationals managed to maintain its turnover at the previous year’s level — a performance Elangovan considers significant under the prevailing conditions.

The company has also taken strategic steps to strengthen its international presence. One such milestone was the opening of its London office, a long-term plan that materialized this year.

“With the proposed FTA with Europe and our newly opened London office, we expect business opportunities from the region to improve considerably in the coming years,” he added.

Focus on MMF @ Bharat Tex 2026

At Bharat Tex 2026, SNQS Internationals plans to place special emphasis on MMF (Man-Made Fiber)-based products, particularly in the sleepwear segment where the company has developed strong capabilities.

“MMF will be one of our focus areas at the exhibition. We are very strong in sleepwear products with value-added features such as anti-microbial and anti-bacterial finishes,” Elangovan shared.

The company sees growing global demand for functional apparel and performance-oriented textiles, particularly in segments where comfort, hygiene and durability are key purchasing factors.

However, Elangovan acknowledged that the MMF segment also comes with its own set of challenges.

“Raw material sourcing continues to be a challenge, and we also need to match the standards set by Chinese manufacturers. But I believe the Indian industry is gradually maturing and moving in the right direction,” he observed.

Expanding Global Footprint

In line with its global growth strategy, SNQS Internationals has recently expanded operations into new international markets.

“We recently opened an office in Egypt, largely in response to the US tariff situation. Similarly, our Singapore office is actively working with Indonesian factories. These have been major developments for us in recent times,” Elangovan said.

He remains optimistic that a stabilization in the geopolitical climate would pave the way for stronger growth opportunities for the global textile industry.

Tiruppur’s Strength Lies in Entrepreneurship

As Vice President of the Tiruppur Exporters’ Association, Elangovan also shared his perspective on the future of the Tiruppur knitwear cluster, which continues to remain India’s leading apparel export hub.

“Money or infrastructure is not the problem for Tiruppur entrepreneurs. The major challenge today is manpower. Efficiently managing this limited resource will be the key to sustaining growth and competitiveness,” he remarked.

Looking Ahead to Bharat Tex 2026

SNQS Internationals is optimistic about the response at Bharat Tex 2026 and expects strong visitor footfalls from across global markets.

“Last year’s edition witnessed excellent footfalls, and we hope to see even better participation this year. We look forward to welcoming visitors from around the world and exploring new partnership opportunities. You can find us at Hall No: 4GF and Stall No: 4G-G24, at the trade show. ” Elangovan concluded.
